Every manuscript is unique, which is why I use a transparent per-word pricing model. This ensures you know the exact cost of your edit upfront—no hidden fees, no hourly guessing games.
-Fiction Copyediting: Starts at $0.018 per word (approx. $18 per 1,000 words)
-Fiction Proofreading: Starts at $0.012 per word (approx. $12 per 1,000 words)
Your final locked-in rate will be determined based on your complimentary 1,000-word sample edit.
What Does This Look Like for Your Book?
To help you budget, here are general baseline investment estimates based on standard fiction lengths:
-Middle Grade Novel (~40,000 words): Approx. $480 for Proofreading/ $720 for Copyediting
-Young Adult Novel (~70,000 words): Approx. $840 for Proofreading/ $1260 for Copyediting
-Adult Fiction Novel (~90,000 words): Approx. $1080 for Proofreading/ $1620 for Copyediting
Booking & Payment Terms
-Securing Your Slot: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve your editing dates on my calendar.
-Final Delivery: The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion, right before your fully polished, edited manuscript is released back to you.
